Is Voice Recognition Replacing Transcription and Transcribers?

Many doctors and medical institutions are now using voice recognition systems and electronic medical records but there is still plenty of work in medical transcription.

Voice recognition technology is not completely accurate and definitely not accurate enough for transcription. This creates additional positions for medical editors. Some of the transcribing jobs turn into transcription editing jobs.

Many doctors and business owners don’t want to take the time to learn and train the voice recognition software.

Automatic voice recognition software doesn’t work if there is more than one voice which means that voice recognition software won’t work to transcribe interviews and group recordings.

In addition to medical transcription jobs, there is also plenty of work for general and business transcription.

Find out more information about how to become a transcriptionist and get transcription work from home.
